Lori Putnam’s In-House Workshop PART 2

All twenty of us eager students  listening  and learning from Lori

In session. Lori in her home studio welcoming her Plain Air Workshop Students, 20 of us in all!  So much to learn from her about painting outdoors in nature.

Plein air painters gather in Charollet  TN.  Painting the many buildings and store fronts in this historic town.  Working on perspective and how light creates true to form of buildings!

Every Plein Air painting to me, is a new kind of puzzle to solve? There are so many choices to make, that will bring the painting to some sort of conclusion. Drawing a thumbnail first thing, really helps solve unforseen problems ahead of time.  I just have to keep remembering to  refer back to it.☺

Day 2 finds us down at the river. The adventurous type!  Making a human chain, to port all our painting gear down to the river banks.

Beautiful light here in Tennessee. Lori illuminating with  Kathy!

A beautiful and quiet location enjoyed and painted well by everyone.

Painting this old farm sight, painters lined up along the dusty road.  Paul (from Calofonia)and I painted alongside each other.

Pushing  chroma in my painting of this old barn. So much to learn…
